Supporting Growth and Engagement in a Group Home Environment
Youth Essential Services (YES) is a Child Residential Group Home providing a structured, family-style environment for 1-4 male youths, ages 11-17, referred by Children and Youth Agencies. Each child undergoes a prescreening process to ensure that our program is equipped to meet their individual needs while fostering a supportive and developmentally appropriate environment.
- Nurturing
- Our structured programming is designed to promote inclusiveness and therapeutic engagement, recognizing that intellectual and developmental growth is often best supported through a diverse yet cohesive peer environment. While each youth has a private bedroom, the group setting encourages positive social interaction, skill-building, and emotional development.
- Positive Living Experience
- Research and best practices indicate that unnecessary isolation of children with intellectual disabilities can be counterproductive to therapeutic progress. Therefore, our program fosters an inclusive approach that enables interaction within a structured, professionally supervised setting, ensuring that all participants benefit from age-appropriate social and therapeutic experiences.
