Supporting Growth and Engagement in a Group Home Environment

Youth Essential Services (YES) is a Child Residential Group Home providing a structured, family-style environment for 1-4 male youths, ages 11-17, referred by Children and Youth Agencies. Each child undergoes a prescreening process to ensure that our program is equipped to meet their individual needs while fostering a supportive and developmentally appropriate environment.

  • Nurturing
Our structured programming is designed to promote inclusiveness and therapeutic engagement, recognizing that intellectual and developmental growth is often best supported through a diverse yet cohesive peer environment. While each youth has a private bedroom, the group setting encourages positive social interaction, skill-building, and emotional development.
  • Positive Living Experience
Research and best practices indicate that unnecessary isolation of children with intellectual disabilities can be counterproductive to therapeutic progress. Therefore, our program fosters an inclusive approach that enables interaction within a structured, professionally supervised setting, ensuring that all participants benefit from age-appropriate social and therapeutic experiences.
